The Indonesia Tuna Consortium (TC) was established in 2019 to ensure healthy, sustainable tuna fisheries while safeguarding the livelihoods of Indonesia’s coastal fishing communities. As the world’s second-largest tuna-producing nation, Indonesia’s fisheries are critical for global supply chains.
The Consortium aligns government, industry, and NGOs to develop and implement science-based Tuna Harvest Strategies—proven tools to secure long-term sustainability, operational efficiency, and profitability in tuna fisheries across Indonesia Archipelagic Waters (FMAs 713, 714, and 715).
